I would describe myself as a passionate observer of nature, open
to and turned on by the constantly changing play of patterns,
textures, and color that surrounds me.  My actual art education
began when as a child I was allowed to hang out in my Grandpa's
studio where he created beautiful landscape oils of the New
England countryside and coastline that he loved.  I was absolutely
mesmerized by the process of a blank canvas transforming before
my eyes into something magically beautiful.  I was also very
intrigued by the transformation that took place in my Grandpa as
he created this beauty.  I knew I wanted that transformation of
spirit for myself.  I suppose that quest is what has driven me all
my life and given me great joy - the desire to express myself
creatively and in that process give back a little beauty to the
world that has so abundantly shared her natural beauty with me.  
Living in naturally blessed Northern Michigan provides me with
endless inspiration towards that end.

                                   I know  how much we love our pets - as
evidenced by my total fascination with my own "Joe Cocker" - yes,
he is a cocker spaniel (mostly), and seemingly the light of my life!
I use colored  watercolor pencils  to recreate a likeness of you
pet (dog or cat, or horse, or rabbit or guinea pig or Whatever!),
using photos you send me for reference.  Just click on the link
